Load calculations
A wind turbine should be designed in such a way that it can, if operated and maintained correctly in its lifetime, withstand all external loading conditions with a sufficient prescribed level of safety. Additionally, it should possess a sufficient degree of robustness and durability during operation. Load calculations, or a combination of load calculations and testing, can be used to demonstrate that the structural integrity of the wind turbine meet the prescribed safety level.
