LAC engineering is working with the design of a variety of controllers for wind turbines including production state control, supervisory control, production control and controllers for turbine subsystems such as the yaw and pitch system.
Controllers developed by LAC Engineering are founded on and integrated with aero-elastic load models and are easily linked to the software of leading sub-suppliers of wind turbine control systems. LAC engineering applies both classical controllers (PID) and modern model based controllers. We have specialized in load reducing control features which come as both add-ons to existing controllers, as e.g. dedicated tower load damping, rotor tilt/yaw damping, etc. and as multi-purpose (MIMO) controllers.
The control competencies within LAC Engineering include:
• In-house developed operational and state controllers
• Load reducing control schemes
• Advanced/modern model based controllers
• Optimization of existing Controllers
